As I mentioned before, I had an interview today for a job with a small private school.  I got there a little before 9:30am and wound up staying until 11:00.  The principal and I just talked and talked, she showed me around the school, we talked about not needing to be Catholic to teach at a Catholic school, just Christian, etc.  By the end of our time, we both felt that it was a good fit and she offered me a position.  🙂  I will be the computer teacher and media specialist (small private school teachers double up on positions quite frequently).  The pay isn’t as high as public schools but the fact that it’s a private Christian school with higher expectations alleviates a lot of the problems that public schools face and have to pay their teachers more for.  (Did that sentence make any sense?)  She also told me that I can bring Aidan in one day a week so she can participate in the Pre-K program (Aidan will LOVE this!).  I’m looking forward to the school year and I’m VERY glad to know I have a job come August 4!

In other good news, Ryan and Aidan came home today.  I swear that kid grew 3 feet while she was gone and added about a skazillion words to her vocabulary.  I missed her and her daddy SO much!  Apparently they had quite a time and when Ryan gets the pics uploaded from his camera, I’ll post some.

Hope you all have a safe and happy 4th of July!  Remember, if you can read this, thank a teacher, if you can read this in English, thank a soldier!
