Fall has FINALLY arrived here in West Georgia.  Took her long enough!!!  Aidan and I spent the weekend being domestic.  The commissary had a great deal on apples so we grabbed up a bag and brought them home to make some yummy fall apple tasties.

(She’s “cutting” with a butter knife here)

I found a recipe for Apple Crisp in a cookbook and we got started…

One hard thing about cooking with a toddler…it’s harder to follow the recipe so we TOTALLY made this wrong.

We were supposed to do the dry ingredients separate and then sprinkle the crumbles over the top of the apples.  Instead, we just mixed it all together.  Oops.  I didn’t realize it until I put it in the oven.

While it cooked I worked on some laundry and Aidan played.  She found a new “play house” when she realized that the front door and hall closet door made a little room with a view!

An hour later, we got it out of the oven and it was brown and bubbly and looked fantastic.  It tasted even better!  The only thing that would make it better would be vanilla ice cream.

Happy Fall, All!
